EN 12830 Temperature Recorders for Cold Chain Transport

Cold chain systems rely on refrigerated trucks, cold storage warehouses, insulated packaging, and temperature monitoring devices such as dataloggers. Products like the TempTrail™ series record temperature data continuously, generate automated PDF and CSV reports, and feature LCD displays and LED alarms to alert handlers immediately when temperature excursions occur during transit or storage.

Our standard TempTrail™ dataloggers cover -30°C to +70°C with ±0.2°C accuracy, suitable for most cold chain and food transport applications. The TempTrail™ Glacial Display extends this to -85°C to +50°C, making it ideal for cryogenic storage, dry ice shipments, vaccine transport, and biologics requiring ultra-low temperature monitoring.

We offer both options. Single-use models (TempTrail™ XL, Model S) are pre-configured for one-way shipments with a 30-minute start delay and up to 220 days of recording. Multi-use models (Model M, TempTrail™ Glacial Display) are user-configurable for repeated deployments, with adjustable alarms, logging intervals, and start delays to match diverse operational requirements.

No external software is required. Simply plug the datalogger into any Windows PC via USB 2.0, and it automatically generates a PDF report and CSV file readable with Adobe Reader. This eliminates IT complexity, reduces compliance risk, and allows any team member to access temperature records instantly without specialized training or licensed software installations.

Our dataloggers are FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant for secure digital records, DO-160G certified for environmental durability, CE and RoHS compliant for European markets, and FCC certified. Devices also carry an IP67 waterproof rating, ensuring protection against dust and water submersion during demanding transport and storage conditions.

All TempTrail™ models store up to 32,000 data points. The TempTrail™ Humidity & Display splits this as 16,000 points each for temperature and humidity. At a standard 10-minute logging interval, single-use models record up to 220 days of continuous data, covering even extended international cold chain shipments without risk of storage overflow.
